Review Of The Venus Laowa Lens 9mm f/2.8, Specs and Handling
One of the lenses that we have tested and really like is the Laowa 9mm f/2.8 manual focus lens. It weighs at 7.6 oz / 215 g and has a clickable aperture ring with a smooth focus ring. It has no electronic contacts between lens and camera, hence there is no EXIF information transferred to the camera.
For its small package, this lens has an impressive 15 elements in 10 groups with 2 aspherical. It is very portable and fits into a pocket with its small-sized dimensions of 2.09 x 2.36" / 53 x 60 mm. It also has a Cine Lens Version and has a very impressive minimum focusing distance of 4.72" / 12 cm.
